Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are set to go on sale in India India starting at Rs 69,999. Both phones will be available for ordering through various retail outlets and online portals in the country starting at 12 am tonight.
This is the first time Samsung has launched two models in the Note series. The regular Note 10 differed from the Note 10+ in its screen size and battery. Apart from that, both the devices are nearly identical. Both the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ come in Aura Black, Aura Glow, and Aura White color options. Also, there is an Aura Red color variant specifically of the Galaxy Note 10. There is no physical fingerprint sensor on the back of Note 10 and Note 10+ as both the devices boast In-display fingerprint sensor.
Samsung has provided Bluetooth Low Energy support on the new S Pen alongside built-in sensors to offer Air Actions. Further, the bundled S Pen is designed to convert handwritten notes into digital text in the Samsung Note app. Specifically for Indian customers, Samsung has offered S Pen handwriting recognition support for four Indian languages, namely Hindi, Hinglish, Marathi, and Urdu.
Both the Note 10 and Note 10+ feature the latest Exynos 9825 processor, which is based on a 7nm process. The new 7nm chipset will offer more efficiency and a slightly faster overall performance compared to the Exynos 9820 processor that powers the Galaxy S10 phones. The chipset is also equipped with a dedicated NPU for advanced AI computation. Compared to the Exynos 9810 chipset that powers the Note 9, the Exynos 9825 boosts CPU and GPU performance by up to 33 and 42 percent, respectively.
In terms of specifications, the dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy Note 10 runs Android 9 Pie with the latest One UI version on top. The Galaxy Note 10 features a 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Infinity-O Display along with a Dynamic AMOLED panel, whereas the Note 10+ features a 6.8-inch full HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) Infinity-O Display along with a Dynamic AMOLED panel.
Galaxy Note 10 is paired with 8 GB RAM whereas the bigger variant Note 10+ has 12 GB of RAM. Note 10 comes with 256GB of internal storage. As for the Note 10+, you can have a 256GB or 512GB storage variant.
On the camera front, the Galaxy Note 10 sports a triple rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with a wide-angle (77 degrees) lens that sports a variable aperture (f/1.5-f/2.4) and has optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera setup also includes a 16-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle (123 degrees) lens that has an f/2.2 aperture and a 12-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.1 telephoto lens (45 degrees) and OIS support. For selfies, the Galaxy Note 10 houses a 10-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.2 lens.
The Note 10+ offers a quad camera setup. The primary three sensors are the same on both the phones i.e a 12-megapixel primary sensor with variable aperture (f/1.5-2.4) and OIS, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with OIS. In addition to these three sensors, the Note 10+ also gets a ToF (Time of Flight) camera that comes in handy for AR depth mapping.
Talking about the battery, the Galaxy Note 10+ has a 4300 mAh battery that supports up to 45W fast charging, whereas the smaller variant only has a 3500 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging as well. But you get a standard 25W fast charger out of the box for both the Note 10+ and Note 10.
