Nowadays, Depression is a new normal for youngsters. It is increasing day by day and spreading like a pandemic. In our family or society, we see people going through a phase of depression, but a mild one. And that’s why we don’t bother much about it. Most of us don’t know the exact meaning of depression. So, we can’t express to anyone or identify who is in depression. So, first of all, we should know the meaning and then how to tackle and defeat depression.

Depression can be classified as a mood disorder that changes according to time and event. It is characterized by feelings of sadness, loneliness, or anger. We should know that not every sadness or loneliness or feeling of anger is a depression, it may be due to some other issues. Depression is caused due to hormonal imbalances. Serotonin causes an imbalance in our body and when the Serotonin hormone level decreases then depression occurs. To avoid depression best way is to adopt spiritual life.

As human beings, we have the power to avoid this but sadly the majority of the population doesn’t know how to tackle and defeat depression, but there are many ways to do it. So, to tackle and defeat depression, we need to follow few things in our life that we even might have heard before.

  • Healthy food
  • Have a goal set in life
  • Get proper sleep
  • Avoid alcohol, cigarettes, and Social media
  • Have good friends
  • Accept the failure
  • Travel to new places
  • Listen to good music

You must have heard that friendship is a mood elevator but actually, it’s not. It’s not like you shouldn’t have friends, having friends is just a way to surmount depression at a particular time or it may help you in tackling depression for few hours. But at the end of the day, you will feel lonely because of the thoughts and stress that you are going through. To avoid depression, you should try the things mentioned above. If you have good friends, you are less prone to depression but still, you are not totally free from it.

Social media is another major cause of depression. Avoiding social media is the best way to tackle depression. Again, I am not telling you to leave social media completely, but to use it wisely. Social Media helps you to know what’s going around on this planet. It helps you to connect with anyone in the world but excessive use is harmful, so you should use it on purpose.

Travelling is also one the most effective ways to avoid depression and listening to good music while travelling is a bonus.

But to avoid depression permanently you should learn to meditate and do regular exercise or yoga. Because a permanent solution is always better than a temporary one.

And at last. If you have ever failed in something, you should always try to accept your failure and try to learn something from it.

Nowadays, Sorry or Ego is a new trend of this generation.  Most of us get confused about whether to say sorry or to show ego. Actually sorry and ego are the same, but sorry shows that you want to maintain a relationship whereas, the ego says you don’t. According to some philosophers, sorry and ego are in the same category of egoistic nature. Both are beautiful words.

To decide when to say sorry or show ego is one of the main issues of our generation. There are many psychological thoughts that we should consider before saying anything. When we were kids, we used to say sorry whenever we did something wrong. But now when we have become adults and especially are in the age group of 15-21years, we usually become more aggressive because of increased testosterone hormone levels. This increases our egoistic nature. There are many reasons like stress, not getting proper sleep, not having sex, family issue,s and overthinking which leads to an increase of ego in our nature.

Sometimes when you say sorry, you can maintain a relation, you can earn respect, and actually, you can get anything. You will not become disrespectful or your value will not become less in society just by saying sorry. Some people think that a person who does not say sorry can never be their friends or partner. But do you think that you can become a better version of your soul just by saying sorry? Is saying sorry everything? Are you giving 100% in your education or work? If not then how can you judge anyone by them saying sorry or not? Because saying sorry isn’t everything, but being is. A person who doesn’t say sorry but means it by heart definitely has a better soul.

We must understand that sorry is just a word but ego is a nature. If you got confused, understand sorry as a positive form of ego, and not being sorry even after making mistakes is a negative form of ego. According to the Bhagwad Geeta, we should forgive a person they understand their mistake and be sorry, but now if they make the same mistake again and again.

As human beings we observe things. But we have the tendency of looking at everything from our own perspective and most of the time, we initially make a negative perspective.
